I need help finding a pair of driving shoes I saw a while back. They were leather and super thin. The sole was able to bend like a Nike Free shoe. They might have been old and not made anymore, but hopefully not. I don't know if I saw them on here or on Tumblr somewhere.

i ended up with Onitsuka Tiger's. I like them. At first the heel is a little pointy but it wears in and you can get nice rotation.

Driving shoes or racing shoes? I've really come to appreciate my Cole Haan driving moccasins. They are lightweight and very flexible with a sensitive sole, but they look like Sperry Topsiders.

Do you wear them every day or just driving? I generally wear trail-running shoes, and I always wear through the soles so I don't think I'd be able to wear thin-soled driving shoes every day without having to replace them a lot, but I'm curious how well they hold up over time.

This!
But you need to use them every single day for months for they to deform and take the shape of your feet, and achieve optimum thickness of the sole. When you get there, the shoes will feel like a part of your own body, and will provide the appropriate amount of feeling of the pedals.

I moved my car yesterday barefoot, the clutch feel was fantastic.
